In photo "4041598_5_IMG_4084.JPG" I think I see the chain plates being backed up by some beefy turnbuckles. There is also a cross support beam that I assume is bracing the hull so that it doesn't collapse with the rig tension or perhaps when being lifted into the water. The mast support brace also seems to be beefed up.


Are these modifications commonly done to racing Mariners?

Has anyone had a problem with the hull flexing inward due to rig tension?
