Boom and Main Wanted
Curtis Bosket

I own a 2006 Mariner. The previous owner modified it by shortening the boom and having a smaller main fabricated. His idea was to increase the headroom under the boom and use the genoa to make up for the smaller main. I am interested in returning it to the ‘as designed’ configuration. I am looking for a used boom and main in good condition.

Hi, Curtis,

I have a used mainsail for you. I recently made a post with the particulars, and I copied/pasted it here. It's made by Skip Moorhouse of Moorhouse Sailmakers, New Jersey. It has #3133 on it, and it was originally used for racing. I had a sailmaker add sail slugs to the luff boltrope which allowed me to keep the sail attached to the mast when furling. Although it does not have as much drive as a brand new sail, it's in surprisingly good condition with no stains, intact stitching (including on the Mariner logo), and a clear window. Battens included (2 original, one replacement). $350.

You can find pictures of it attached to the forum post I made (I think it's the thread just below yours), and I'm happy to send you more pictures should you want them.

Do you have photos, and where are you located? I’m concerned about shipping costs for a boom! Thank you.
